Club History
Hurling and Football were certainly played in Shinrone Parish long before the G.A.A. was founded in 1884. It was only natural that after the founding of the Association was formed Shinrone was one of the first seventy clubs affiliated to Central Council. Shinrone was represented at the first meeting of Offaly County Board by Jack Minchin and Martin Fennell.
